What a busy day this past Saturday was. We started out celebrating two of my husband’s old college roommates’ 30th birthday! They rented out a room at Taft’s Ale House Brewpourium off Spring Grove Ave on the westside. It was a perfect space and afternoon to catch up with friends we don’t get to see often.
Of course, I forgot to take pictures until most people were gone. I think this was because my parents hadn’t picked Parker up yet and that the last thing on my mind. I’m not exactly sure the next time we will all be together so it always nice to catch up!
After the party, CJ and I went to Sotto for our anniversary dinner!
While at the 30th birthday party CJ and I decided we finally wanted to check out Rhinegeist’s Rooftop bar.
For dinner, we parked at Fountain Square but didn’t want to move our car. We decided to take the Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar. This was our second time taking it and it was wonderful! You can listen to Nick Lachey’s voice telling you which stop you are at! Ha.
The Connector dropped us off right in front of Rhinegeist, what a convenient station. When we got there, there was no wait and we were able to walk right in. I was told by the door bouncer that I looked old enough that he didn’t even need to check my ID. Life being 30 really knows how to make you feel good sometimes…
Nothing makes you feel more out of shape than walking up a ton of stairs. You have to walk up a bunch to get to the taproom and then more to get up to the roof. On the bright side, it really makes you feel that you definitely deserved that beer once you got up there! Some of our friends from earlier that day were already there and had a perfect spot along the wall. The view was absolutely breathtaking!
Look I can be the next model for Rhinegeist! Haha, JK!
My shirt is from Loft and it is so comfortable!
As the sun started to set the view got even better!!
It was a great night with my hubby and our friends! We can’t wait to go back more this summer. There is something about a rooftop/patio and an ice-cold beer that just screams summer to me!
